Pay rural doctors more to avert health workforce crisis: AMA

The peak doctors' lobby has called for every rural GP and specialist to be paid tens of thousands of dollars per year in extra incentives to encourage more to commit to country practice, warning that "urgent intervention" is required to tackle a workforce crisis.
