Free Public Lecture:
Who? Prof. Debra Humphris (University of Southampton) recently visited the Australia as part of an APHCRI Visiting Fellowship awarded to the AHWI.
Where? Prof. Humphris visit included public lectures and seminars at the University of Queensland, Australian National University, and the University of Melbourne. She also visited various state health departments including the Department of Human Services in Victoria.
What? Prof. Humphris emphasized the importance of Inter-Professional Learning to the training of future health workers and the significance benefits that effective team work has in health settings. A further issue raised concerned the role that universities have in accrediting health workers.
