Scholarships

PhD scholarships are available for high-calibre students interested in health workforce.  Some specific areas of health workforce include:

  •  incentives for health workforce redesign;
  • indigenous health workforce;
  • expansion of the scope of health professionals.
  • new health worker roles
  • modelling and/or forecasting on Australia's health workforce

The Scholarship: The scholarship is available for graduates undertaking research, eligible to be approved as full-time candidates for a higher degree in any school/department of the faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Queensland or the Faculty of Medicine, Health Sciences and Dentistry (MDHS) at the University of Melbourne.Successful applicants will be offered $20,000 per annum, available for up to four years, subject to an annual satisfactory progress report of your research.Awarding of the scholarship is subject to an offer of a place in a relevant postgraduate research program and the availability of appropriate supervisors.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an Australian citizen. Applicants will be assessed based on their academic performance at undergraduate/postgraduate level - a very high standard is expected.
