One of AHWI's priorities is to assess health science courses in light of the present and future demands upon the health workforce. This may involve suggestions for reform of current training models or proposals for new courses training alternative kinds of health workforce professional.

Drawing on the strengths of existing programs at the partner institutions and at other institutions with which it will collaborate, AHWI will also help train health professionals and offer courses in Health Workforce Policy Analysis.
