Optimising Primary Care Reform
Title: Optimising Australia's primary care workforce reforms via primary care organisations.
Funding Body: University of Melbourne - Melbourne Early Career Researcher Award
Chief Investigator:
Lucio Naccarella
Summary:
Internationally and throughout Australia primary care organisations (e.g., UK’s Primary Care Trusts. NZ’s Primary Health Organisations; Australia’s Divisions of General Practice) are involved in implementing government funded initiatives to address workforce issues within the primary care. To inform primary care workforce reforms via such organisations, policy makers need an evidence base that informs them about what these organisations are doing, what works, for whom and in what circumstances. This project is designed to appraise ways in which PCOs are informing, planning, and implementing primary care workforce reforms in the UK and NZ.
